When I started my photo styling career, stylists website was strictly an “about page” and images of our styling portfolio work. Now, we are adding more personality to our websites as well as to our content creation with blogs, media kits, and social media graphics.
One way we add our personality is with fonts! Soooo many to choose from, right?! My absolute favorite Font/Grapher Designer is Nicky Laatz. Not only does she do beautiful fonts ~ but also illustrations.
As we build our business, we often are presenting to our clients and as a Stylist ~ everything (ALL our “brand touch points”) should be stylish.

In addition to graphic needs for our business, I also have used fonts in my actual styling images for clients. I worked for an interior Client who sells many frames for wall galleries, To style and highlight the frames ~ I designed my own graphic quotes to place in the frames. Due to licensing and copyright, I needed to be mindful what I placed in the frames, so I designed (styled) by own graphic and my go-to is Nicky Laatz. While I go for the fonts, her choice of images and her copywriting on the images give such great inspiration!
So, collect resources you love and keep putting style skills (in all kinds of ways) under your styling business umbrella!
